The 3D Printing Conference and Expo will be held at the Townsville RSL, with speakers in the HMAS Townsville room, and exhibitors in the Jezzines Room. The Townsville RSL is located at 139 Charters Towers Road, Hermit Park – an approximately 10 minute drive from Townsville Airport.
The Townsville RSL Sub-Branch was operation from 1917, and received its official charter in 1919. After operating out of a series of establishments in Townsville, in 1966 the Clubhouse “The Old Brick Building” was opened on its current Hermit Park location. By 1994, the Sub-Branch built a two-storey Clubhouse on freehold land beside the existing club, with a second stage built to complement the existing building in 1998.
The Townsville RSL is the largest club in the region with the current membership base at 20,000 and growing. It offers its members and guests many new and exciting features, including the award winning Lavaracks Restaurant (a la carte dining), The Café, contemporary function rooms with seating capacity up to 350 people, three well equipped bars, 280 of the latest gaming machines, and live entertainment every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.
